Murry Bergtraum HS student fight caught on video

Posted on 04:24 by Unknown

Just another day at Murry Bergtraum High School.

Two separate brawls involving female students erupted at the beleaguered downtown Manhattan school this week — the latest in a string of troubling violence.

A hallway fight Thursday was caught on video and shows multiple girls duking it out wildly while a crowd of students filming with smart-phones eggs them on.

As the fight escalates, other students are seen entering the fracas and throwing punches.

"There were two fights among girls in the hallway, and students left classrooms to see the fight," a DOE spokeswoman said in a statement, referring to the dust-ups.

None of the students was arrested or injured, according to the DOE.

Cops said they issued eight summonses and a youth desk appearance ticket following the fisticuffs.

Similar melees have occurred sporadically in recent years, hand-in-hand with declining academic performance at once-exemplary Murry Bergtraum.

In 2010, a fight involving students and safety officers led to a police sergeant being punched in the face. No one was arrested in that incident.
